Ways of helping PENHA

PENHA works from a very small office in central London, with  staff who are committed and experienced people, most of whom come from the Horn of Africa, but who are working as volunteers or part time. We support pastoralists in Somaliland, Eastern Sudan and Uganda - again most of the owrk is done by PENHA volunteers. However to make the impact and provide the service we try to give to the pastoralists and to our colleagues in the Horn of Africa, we need money.

There is a wide range of ways in which you can give support - and they are listed for you below. We do urge you to consider helping us in one of these ways.

Single Individual Contributions

By cheque – made payable to “PENHA” and sent to us at PENHA, 1 Laney Building, Portpool Lane, London EC1N 7UL

By card through JustGiving

Regular contributions

This helps PENHA to plan its work properly
By downloading a standing order form and sending it to PENHA
By card through JustGiving

Text 70070, put in PAST00 and finally your donation £1 to £10 (whole numbers). You can then GiftAid it on the phone. Neither you nor PENHA will be charged for this service.

By joining “Give as you Live”, the internet seller will give a % of the purchase price to the charity of your choice (e.g. PENHA) at no cost to you. Learn more here.

You can sell goods on eBay and give between 10% and 100% of the sale price to PENHA. You will not pay eBay fees on the donation. Join here.

PENHA depends on volunteers with its work. Without this support, we simply would not exist. Currently we urgently need a volunteer book-keeper. Our present one is moving on.  If you are interested, contact us here.

Using GiftAid means that every pound you give, we get an extra 25p from the Inland Revenue, helping your donation go further. Most of the ways of donating listed above allow GiftAid. You do need to be paying sufficient income tax to pay the 25% GiftAid from the Inland Revenue, and you cannot receive a service (such as a fundraising dinner) for the donation.

All you need to do is either to follow the instructions when you donate or download the standard Gift Aid Form, print it out and return it with your donation by post or e-mail.
