The PENHA Board of Trustees has approved the opening of a liaison office in Ethiopia. We are taking steps towards establishing the office by approaching the relevant authorities and more details will be available soon.
This is exciting news for PENHA, having had a regional office at Addis Ababa University from 1994 to 1998 when PENHA senior staff from the London office were relocated to Addis. Since then, PENHA has worked in Ethiopia through its partners. Dr Zeremariam Fre visited the site of the old office in 2018 – it is now the Academy for Ethiopian Languages and Cultures.
