Please see below for their short bios.
Jonas Le Thierry d’Ennequin
Jonas has several years of international experience working at the intersection of urban development and communications in the private, public and third sectors. He has a successful track-record managing multilateral projects and has implemented cross-media communication strategies at local, national and international scales. Next to his engagement at PENHA, he is currently pursuing a PhD in Development Planning at UCL as an ESRC scholar. His research explores a novel theorisation of the relationship between discourse and the material conditions of cities – what he calls “discursive infrastructure”. Jonas’ aim is to propose a reformulation of the policy discourse of basic infrastructure systems that continue to materialise the spatial inequalities of African cities today. Jonas holds a BA in Global Challenges from Leiden University and Universidad de Chile and an MSc in Urban Development Planning from University College London (UCL).
Sara Tesfabruk has earned an MSc in Management, Economics and Consumer Studies from Wageningen University and Research. Currently, she is working as a Casework coordinator at British Red Cross and mainly working with refugees, asylum seekers and migrants. She is passionate about assisting migrants to settle and integrate into their new community. Sara has worked as a consultant for FAO where she provided editorial support and assisted them in the production of various project reports and publications. Besides she has also worked as Budgeting and Planning Officer at the Ministry of Fisheries and Graduate Teaching Assistant at the College of Business and Economics of the University of Asmara, Eritrea where she earned her BA in Business Management.
